Build Up Your Business
Drive Traffic to Your Salon Business
As a salon owner, we know you love your business and always want to improve your business game. All businesses, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, need tools and strategies to grow. The great thing is that as a salon owner at Salon Suites you do not have to go it alone. Here are several sure fire ways to help you maintain and grow your business.
Passion
Most important above all else is fuel your passion. Passion is contagious so if you loose your focus and passion for your craft it will permeate into all areas of your business. If you have heard it once you have heard it a thousand times. It is all about the work life balance. Don’t get bogged down in the daily grind and not take time to relax. It might sound odd but schedule me time. Schedule time for something you know gives you power creatively. It can be painting, hiking through nature, knitting, crafting, or exploring your town, but be sure to schedule it so you don’t make excuses not to take the time.
Stay on Trend
True to the name, trends come and go. Knowledge of trends, whether good or bad, help build your credibility as a beauty professional. This knowledge can broaden and deepen your overall knowledge base. Trends also drive peaks in demand and the prices others set for their services. Moral of the story is trends are more than fleeting beauty fashions and should be watched closely.
Surveys
It is not all about getting new clients when building business; your existing clients can help you build your business, too. Ask your existing clients to participate in a quick survey to gain valuable knowledge about what you are doing correct and where there might be room for improvement. Also, use this opportunity to see what services they would like to see added. You may even be able to ask them to share it with friends in family by offering an incentive, such as a free wax or gloss.
Network
Learn to network. Making friends with other beauty professionals, businesses, and advertising mediums is a great way to gain exposure for very little mullah. Who is popular on Facebook, SnapChat, or Instagram in your area? Think about reaching out to see if they would be open to cross posting. Local bloggers are also a great way to put your name out there and are usually very keyed in to what their demographics like to see.
Evaluate
Be sure to take the time to evaluate the strategies that are implemented. You are never too busy to take the time to examine how these strategies are performing. If one is not working can you change it up or should you scrap it all together?
Try a few of these and see how they work for you and then be sure to let us know!
