SuiteHeart’s Food Drive for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society

Salon Suites of Alabama’s SuiteHeart program inaugural event of the Greater Birmingham Humane Society Food Drive is soon ending. Now through November 23rd Salon Suites is collecting food, toys, treats, and newspapers for the animals of the Greater Birmingham Humane Society (GBHS). Boxes have been placed in each location’s lobby. Please contact Salon Suites to learn more ways to donate and give to the SuiteHeart program.

Who the Food Drive Supports

The donated items will help two programs run by the GBHS. The animals in shelter receive aone particular dog food, but the GBHS helps in many other ways. The GBHS has many animals outside of shelter in the foster program. The foster program is comprised of volunteers that open their hearts and homes temporarily to nurse rescued or surrendered animals back to health. These animals can be suffering from anything from malnutrition to heartworms and need to time to heal before they can be placed in a “furever” home. The GBHS also supports families that have fallen on tough times feed their animals and help the animals remain in a happy and loving home.
