“I was the girl in preschool that I always had hairspray in her hair. I would cry if my bangs weren’t perfect.”

Don’t let Tori’s fresh face fool you, Tori is a tried and true beauty expert. Starting her training at the young age of 15 Tori has immersed herself in all things beauty and hair! Her mother had her cosmetology license but did not work as a stylist so little Tori was her mom’s star client. Always having her nails painted and hair done left quite the impression on her. Even though her formal education didn’t start until 15, I think it would be safe to say that Tori has always been in the beauty business.

From cut and color to extensions and facial waxing, Tori keeps well rounded in her training and specialties. She attends at least one Keratin training a year as well as other continuing education to keep clients on trend. With products such as Moroccan Oil, Brazilian Blowout (including the B3 line), Keratin and more, Tori has a beauty arsenal to make clients feel glamorous daily.

Tori started her own salon, Tease Hair Studio, with Salon Suites because as a new mom she needed to have a flexible schedule. It worked out to be the best fit for her because she is now her own boss but also for her clients. She is able to provide them with the individual attention and one on one interaction that can’t come from an open salon.

“A lot of my clients like the privacy. It’s just more intimate. They have more one on one. They get to know me better as well as I get to know them better.”

After asking about her inspirations it is easy to see why why Tori gives off such a warm, welcoming, family atmosphere in her salon, “My mom and my dad. My dad has never told me that I can’t do something. If I say I can’t do something he always says yes you can. My mom wouldn’t let me beat myself up if I can’t do anything perfect. And of course, my husband and daughter keep me going daily.” This support has helped Tori be relaxed and true to herself and this makes her studio a no pressure environment where clients can be themselves, too.

“It’s a very family oriented salon atmosphere that I have. I have clients who send me their moms their kids and their grandkids. I just want everyone to feel comfortable when they come in here. Its a family environment.”

Tori’s personal style she describes as, “Flowy sleek with a little bit of edge.” The cowboy boots show that southern edge and a little bit of her country roots. And her favorite beauty splurge is makeup, “I love love love makeup!”
