This hair styling, crossfitting, water loving momma is one of our salon owners at Bazaar 280. Crystal Judd owns Salon 5 and decided to open an individual private salon with Salon Suites after 7 years of owning a traditional, multi-chair salon. Crystal decided it was time to focus on her individual talent and clients rather than having to manage employees and her business, and Salon Suites was just the right fit. Crystal has lived in Birmingham for 13 years after moving from Gadsden. She started in Birmingham at a salon that also used to be on 280 and has been in the same general stretch of 280 for the duration of her professional career in Birmingham. After falling in love with the area and her clients she decided to open her own multi-chair salon, but after 7 years she closed that salon. The move to a individual salon with Salon Suites can be overwhelming for many for various reasons, but Crystal has flourished. She is able to give her clients even more personalized services without having to worry about what employees may or may not be doing or who is walking in the door. She is able to shut her suite door and talk privately with her client and they are her sole focus.
Now she has much more personal freedoms. She travels often to continue her personal education as well as educate others, as a Keratin Complex educator. She has time to keep up with the latest in advancements and the science of hair. She really prides herself in knowing the ends and out of her products and the services she offers. If you have had a chemical reaction go wrong in the past while coloring or treating, do not fear. Crystal knows the chemistry and art of hair. Crystal truly has an artistic eye. She sees beauty in everything, from the mundane and everyday to the beauty of nature.
