Spring is in the Air

It’s here. It’s finally happened. Spring is poking it’s green buds out of the cold, damp earth to share bright vibrant colors and warmer weather. Or so we thought because here in Alabama the first day of Spring we went from nearly 80 and gorgeous to 50 and windy. That coupled with many of us still lagging from Day Light Savings and it’s hard to see what we were looking forward to the cold dark nights after the holiday happy wore off. So if you are like us here at Salon Suites then you might need a little pep in your step and reminders of the wonders of Spring, well at least Spring beauty wonders. Here’s a list of the hottest beauty trends to get you on point for Spring fashion.

Big and Bold Brows – Gone are the days of over waxed barely there brows. It is now the time for full, filled in, and naturally shaped brows. This trend took full effect in 2015 and is only picking up steam with some even colored wild colors from pastel to rainbow.

Natural Hair – We have seen a move towards natural hair on the cat walk and red carpet and we couldn’t love it more. Check out this look combining bold brows and natural hair on the right image.

Braids – Although the top knot has saved many of us from hair day disasters it is slowly being replaced by the classic and clean braided pony tails and braided do’s.

Blue Eyed Beauty – Although blue eyeshadow makes many of us think of our grandmothers or great grandmothers it is making a strong come back after being on many a Spring runway such as this one from Hugo Boss. Marc Jacobs and Diane Von Furstenburg are other iconic fashion brands to embrace the retro vibe.

Red Lips – Another retro look making a come back is the bold, red lip. Bold lips like bold brows are going to be big in 2016. Just remember to be wise and exercise caution when doing both or you can end up looking a little more Ronald McDonald than

 

Rose and Corals – Rose, gold, peach, blonde, and everything in between is coming on strong this Spring and it reminds us of those soft early petals emerging from their buds. Will you be bold enough to try this rosey color?
